I have Office 2003 that was installed on my computer, but has somehow been uninstalled when I removed the trial 2007 version. My CD/DVD drive is not working, so how can I install my office 2003 without my CD but with my product code? Is there a specific place I can go to install it and use my product key?

  • We are attempting to create a custom install of Office 2003 Professional using an MST with certain settings set (Outlook cached mode turned off, default profile configuration set, etc) to then be captured by the Symantec Ghost AI Builder (to create an all-in-one easy executable for deployment on all systems in our company).
  • Do an Admin install of Office 2003 to a share on your server where your ZEN Apps live (:APPS MSI Office2003) (Run set-up /a for Admin install and choose your location on your server) Download the Office 2003 Resource Kit. Create your MST file using the custom installation wizard with all your relevant settings you want for the App.

Could not seem to get it to work. I tried editing the SETUP.INI file but it doesnt seem to be pulling the customization from the MST file.I opened SETUP.INI and took out the; on the MST1= lineI then entered the full path for the MST file (sernamepathCustome.ms tThat did not work.So I copied the SETUP.INI file and placed it in the same folder I have the SETUP.EXE folder in and it still didnt seem to run.I know the customization is working because I created a batch file that uses the long command indicating where the MST file is. That install runs perfectly and does not prompt me at all. But when I try to run the setup.exe it acts as if it does not see the MST file.Just for testing I did try misnaming the MST file in the SETUPINI and I did receive an error saying the MST can't be found. So now I am really foncfused.

I have created a custom mst file for use in installing Office 2003. What I'm looking for is some type of script or batch file or something that will launch the setup file (setuppro.exe), complete with the transform to use the mst file. I know how to setup a command line to use it (setuppro.exe TRANSFORMS=e:softwareoff ice2003of fice2003cu stomsettin gs.mst /q) and I can create a batch file to launch it, but the problem is that this method depends on a hard coded reference to a drive letter and depending on the machine, the drive letter assigned to the removable drive may be different. So, my question is, is there any way to create a file that would launch both of these from the hard drive regardless of the assigned drive letter?
